At Manorfield all children are artists, feeling empowered to express their feelings and imagination with confidence through a variety of media using different art techniques and skills.
We pride ourselves on the arts being central to our whole school curriculum and children's work is exhibited and celebrated throughout the school all year round.
We have a specialist dance and drama teacher and art lessons are taught weekly by a specialist teacher in a Studio area. These lessons are prioritised and are part of a learning journey for the children, culminating in exhibitions, displays, presentations and performances every half term.
There are many ways in which we showcase our creative experiences and achievements throughout the year. We love to sing at Manorfield and have a very active choir taking part in music festivals and events. The Big Sing is another opportunity for the whole school to showcase songs that not only carry an important message, but make us feel happy. It is a truly joyful event, about which the children are very passionate.
Our commitment and passion for the arts awarded us a Platinum Arts Mark in September 2019. This is an accolade few schools achieve and of which we are extremely proud.
We don't find time for art, we make time for art.
